| BUTTERMILK SKY (AGAIN For the 5th time) Start Date: March 2011 This film has had more false starts than a Tijuana Taxi with a busted carburator The film is about the unconventional relationship between a loner ex-rodeo rider turned Wild West show performer, who befriends a street smart orphan girl that steals passage with him and his menagerie of animals, including a buffalo, mustang horse, and timber wolf. The story follows the friendship that develops between the two unlikely pair, as they struggle to overcome their past lives and become a loving family. |

| Shantaram Lions and tigers and bears - oh my! and now Shantaram The storyline: A heroin addict incarcerated for a robbery escapes prison and reinvents himself as a doctor in the slums of Bombay; his ties to the crime underworld there lead him to Afghanistan, where he partners with a mob boss locked in a battle with Russian criminals. This Johnny Depp (don't swoon) film has been in the works slated to lens in NM for years & recently went into a 'turnaround' status. Depp's production company bought the rights to the GD Roberts book for $2 mil and it currently has a 2011 release date. Depp has been seen locally causing some to speculate he is here for the film |
